MCF Program and Materials Participant Agreement

We are so excited that you are participating in the Mindful Communities Fund (MCF) program. As we begin this meaningful work together, we want you to feel supported, informed, and clear about how the training and materials are intended to be used. The following guidelines help us create a safe, respectful, and consistent experience for everyone.

1. Not Mental Health Treatment

This program provides mental-wellness education focused on self-regulation, emotional awareness, resilience, and empowered choice. While we reference neurological, physiological, and psychological perspectives to illustrate how these practices support wellbeing, this training is instructional in nature. Participants are neither being trained in nor receiving counseling, diagnosis, therapy, or any form of professional mental-health treatment. Any reflections or check-ins are used solely for learning, insight, and relationship-building. Participants, and anyone they share these practices with, who may need clinical or therapeutic support should seek assistance from licensed mental-health professionals or district-approved services.

2. Use of Materials Within Your School Community

This program is offered specifically to your school community, and all MCF materials, whether digital or printed, are provided solely for use within your participating school or district.

We ask that you use these tools and resources in your professional role within this system and refrain from reproducing, distributing, or teaching the curriculum outside your school without written permission from MCF.

3. Participant Confidentiality

Creating a safe and trusting environment is essential.

Please respect the privacy of all participants. Personal stories, comments, or reflections shared during the training should remain within the group.

To protect everyone’s comfort, we also ask that you do not record any portion of the training, including sessions, slides, discussions, or materials.

4. Ownership of Materials

All tools, practices, frameworks, curriculum, videos, and written materials remain the property of MCF.

Participation in the training does not grant teaching rights, authorship, endorsement, certification, or permission to use the materials outside the licensed school system.

5. No Guaranteed Outcomes

The practices shared in this program are research-based and have benefited many educators and students. However, participation does not guarantee any specific outcomes or improvements.

Every classroom and school community is different, and results depend on many factors, including how the tools are applied.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MCF and its trainers, staff, officers, and affiliates are not liable for injuries, emotional distress, or damages that arise from participation in the training or from your use of the materials.

MCF is also not responsible for how tools are interpreted or implemented in your individual classroom or school setting.

7. Indemnification

By participating, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCF and its team from any claims, losses, or liabilities that may arise from your participation or from how you choose to use or apply the training tools.

8. Voluntary Participation

Your participation in this program is completely voluntary. You are welcome to engage in a way that feels comfortable to you, and you may choose to stop participating at any time.

We are grateful you are joining us and look forward to supporting you, your wellbeing, and your school community throughout the program.
